DAYDREAMS

Look at your daydreams. They tell you what you are living for, who you really are.   Our daydreams are often about a life that is based on self-satisfaction and fantasizing about our own success.  A life of money, of adoration, of love, and of comfort.  However, it is a life where all these things point to ourselves as the recipient and where I am the center of the life I fantasize about.

God daydreams about us.  He made the first  move and thereafter all the moves needed to make His dreams a reality by sacrificing His only Son, Jesus.  He paid the price in unconditional love for our sins (past, present, and future) and gifted us the reward of His mercy and grace earned 100% by Jesus.  Even though He is the true center of the universe, Jesus gave it all up to make this dream a reality despite us not deserving it nor having earned it.  His daydream was and is our salvation for eternal living with Him and He paid the ultimate price (on the cross) for this dream to come true. [1 John 4:9-10]

With this humbling vision of God’s costly love for us, my daydreams need to have God in the center and I need to be fantasizing about an eternal life with Him.  It is recognition of all we have and will have comes from and through Him.  It is turning the narrative of our daydreams from serving us to serving Him where money, adoration, love and comfort are to serve Him in gratitude for making His dreams a reality for us in Jesus Christ - a  guaranteed eternal life with Him to be lived out here on Earth and enjoyed in Paradise. [Jeremiah 19:11]
